With 18 teams from 11 different nations registered already for the 2024 European Championship at the Yacht Club Sanremo, Italy, it's shaping up to be an awesome event. 2023 saw 21 Cape 31's line up in Cowes to crown the first European Champion - Russell Peter's Squirt.
The event will see the 14 teams that have participated across the MED series this summer be joined by several UK and US teams. The class expect to see entries into the 20s. 10 teams are registered for the Doyle Sails partnered class training event in Sanremo a month before the Championship. This will give teams a chance to sail in the area, line up against each other, get to know the area and recieve some expert coaching and analysis from Simone Malagugini and team and Doyle Sails own Victor Marino who has been at other MED events this season.

The boat builders have earmarked new boats for this event as a result of the high interest.
